Previous to this, we used to work in the construction industry. Therefore, we are familiar with how every part of your property’s structure must look. Through the years, we have inspected approximately 9,000 properties!

Not only did he find serious issues throughout the home, he also noted several important systems that the seller had unprofessionally installed, and which created safety concerns. As an example; the water heater in the home was working but instead of just recommending that the water heater be replaced because it was approaching it's average lifetime, Marc discovered a backdraft issue (CO2 leak) AND a gas leak coming from the water heater. Also he found that the entire HVAC system was not installed properly (and most likely not by a professional), the chimney needed repairs, and the flue has not been cleaned in a while (which we later discovered was more than 4 years ago). All of these issues alone may not be so bad, but all together they create a serious problem because the home is not properly ventilated and is slowly being filled with toxic chemicals. On top of that, Marc tested for and found high levels of Mold in the bedrooms. Other examples include waterproofing which not only was done wrong, but actually contributed to the structural damage found later in the home, evidence of wood destroying insects and past treatment for them (even though the seller stated they never had any) and changes to the electrical system of the home that were recently installed. Marc's attention to detail and his passion for his work made the difference and helped us avoid paying WAY over asking price for a home that was worth half the price. read less

Not walk through then sit at the end and make notes.He answered all my questions in straightforward understandable fashion and seemed to have a commanding knowledge of details about when various features would be required for construction, e.g. GFI breakers/outlets, what year were they required for what parts of the home as one example.If we don't purchase this home I'll certainly ask him to inspect the next one we offer on. Within the property, he noticed the water and mold damages within the bathrooms, under the sinks and by the bathtubs, and informed us that there may be more damage behind the walls that may require the bathrooms to be completely redone. Radon test takes 4-5 days after the inspection. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking to buy a home. Go with questions, as he does a great job answering to the best of his knowledge, when I say knowledge, he truly does have tons of it.

Marc appeared to be a blessing when we were in the part of home inspection for our first home buying process. He not only did his job just perfect but he was quite friendly answering all of our dump questions during inspection was on. He is a charming guy whom we felt very comfortable with. Thank God we got him. Quite responsive!! He responded to our question after inspection within almost no time even if he was busy in other inspection when we called.
I liked his detailing in the inspection report and that too came next day of inspection - pretty fast!

He was extremely thorough with his inspection and took the time to explain in detail his concerns and recommendations. He was very patient, personable and professional. Marc looked through every nook and cranny - the attic, crawlspace (which was not a space you want to crawl through given the condition it was in), roof, and of course the interior of the home; he caught the fact that there was some water seepage in the basement even though it seemed as though the seller's attempted to cover up the damage with a fresh coat of paint - Marc was still able to tell that there has been an issue. The full home inspection report was turnaround in 2 days amounting to 47 pages. Again, the report was very detailed and easy to understand, especially considering he explained everything in lamens terms for us during the inspection. I would HIGHLY recommend Mark. read less

Marc was early for the inspection. Marc was extremely friendly and concise throughout the inspection and did not hesitate to answer any of our questions. Marc is very knowledgeable about all facets of the home and we are both so glad we chose Marc to inspect our property. Marc wouldn't quit as we found out our furnace was in a small crawl space beneath the house. Marc didn't hesitate and went in as far as he could to get the job done for us. We had a very detailed home inspection report within 48 hours of the inspection.
